1-on-1 Hourly Tutoring
Available for Step/Level 1, 2, and 3
How it Works
Our hourly tutoring plan is available in preparation for Step / Level 1, 2 and 3 examinations, and it is suitable for individuals who satisfy two or more of the following criteria:
- They have failed their exams once, they feel that they may fail their exam without tutoring assistance
- They firmly believe that they already know which subject areas they are deficient in or what specific areas they need to receive tutoring
- They own certain review books and they would like to only be tutored from those specific books
The standard rate for this plan starts from $120/hour for a minimum of 10 hours plus a $100 set-up fee and the cost of the books (if NMR is required to purchase an instructor copy). Additional hours, if needed, will be added at the rate of $100/hour for the next 10 hours and $80 for all additional hours above the first 20 hours. The minimum duration of each online meeting is 1 hour.
This is a 100% face-to-face online service, that is, an online version of a traditional face-to-face tutorial. Clients will meet and go over the subjects with their assigned tutor via webinar. The contrast of this plan with our coach-pack is that the coach pack includes extensive hours of behind-the-camera planning and managing, in addition to targeted assignments from our online packages. The hourly tutoring plan, in contrast, includes real-time online interactions, with minimal off-camera research and planning activities on part of our tutors.
NMR will conduct preliminary planning to coordinate the meetings between each client and their tutor(s) as part of the initiation process.
How to Enroll
To enroll you must first contact Northwestern Medical Review by online contact form, email, or phone to receive a special enrollment code. The reason is that we accept enrollments only if we can assign a professor to each enrollee during their study period.
Also, please be advised that we accept enrollments on first come, first serve basis.
Bundle With our Testbuster Program to Receive a Discount
With our hourly tutoring plan, and for the sake of comprehensiveness, we suggest that our students purchase 3 months of our Testbuster package that includes all the books that we use in our Step/Level 1, or 2 courses in addition to our question bank and video lecture services. Students can bundle Testbuster with hourly tutoring to receive 60% off their Testbuster package.
Cancellation Policy
Enrollees may cancel their enrollment within 24 hours after placement with their tutor to receive a full refund. Within the first 48 hours after placement, unused review hours are fully refundable, but the cost of set-up, Pre Program Questionnaire/Evaluation + study materials and Online Testbuster Package are non-refundable. Thereafter, and after the first complete meeting with their assigned tutor, no refund is available. Scheduled meetings require 3 hr notice of cancellation/rescheduling, or they will count towards the total number of hours.
