Absurdity of the USMLE requirement for awarding MD Degrees

USMLE scores should not be used as a required criteria for awarding MD degrees to graduates of medical schools

You don’t have to pass USMLE exam to wear this!

The practice of awarding MD degrees to students who have passed their USMLE exams is unethical and likely to be illegal.   Medical schools that brag and rave about their curriculum must award the degrees of students who have successfully completed their academic requirements without any USMLE stipulations.

What medical schools should require USMLE scores? USMLE scores may be required from students of  newly established schools with no record-tracks, or students of those schools that have a probationary status with the liaison committee on medical education (LCME).
