It’s now time for you to appreciate someone who always works tirelessly behind the scenes to safeguard us against epidemic diseases!

Most people are not even familiar the terms of “epidemiology and epidemiologist”. My purpose is to make it simple for them. When it comes to communicable diseases such as the novel coronavirus (Covid-2019), our well-being as a population is highly dependent on the science of epidemiology. Epidemiologists are the forerunners who understand how diseases affect populations. They are the ones who ultimately dictate adoption of governmental policies to safeguard against further spread of diseases. So now that you know a little about the coronavirus, you also know a little about the professionals who truly understand the ins-and-outs of the pandemics!

Remember, if we conquer the outbreak of COVID-2019 we will owe it to the science of epidemiology and hardworking epidemiologists in public health departments across the globe!
